Patrizia Ruthensteiner
Patrizia Ruthensteiner is a Viennese artist whose work is based on self-built, sound-generating and transformable wearables that codetermine the choreography and composition. Developed instruments and site-specific installations are integral elements of her artwork. She explores the spatial and physical dimension of composing in order to create three-dimensional musical experiences. She creates audio-visual compositions in which sounds derive from the performative actions, performers become the instrument relating to the space and eachother, predetermined valuations of subjectivity and physical form are pushed into absurdity. She has been presenting solo-productions, performances, compositions and collaborations (such as Magnetoceptia) internationally on a variety of platforms.
